Exploring Asian Religions


This course offers a brief introduction to the origin, evolution, basic concepts and practices Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism and Shintoism, and their spiritual relevance to the challenges of contemporary Western life.

Instructor Bio:

Ed Piper served as the minister of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Waynesboro from 1997 until his retirement in 2013. Previously, he was Dean of Academic Services at Mary Washington College for eight years and Professor of Psychology at West Virginia Wesleyan College for sixteen years. He earned a PhD in Psychology from the University of Chicago.
