*Cancelled* A Matter of Balance
Adults who are concerned about falling often allow fear of falling to limit their activities, resulting in increased physical weakness thus making the risk of falling even greater. This course is designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels among older adults. During the course, participants will learn to view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risk at home, and participate in gentle exercise to increase strength and balance. Note: Before participating in any exercise program, participants should check with their doctors to ensure that there are no contraindications, special considerations, or limitations from a medical standpoint.
