Retired: Now What?

Despite the most positive outlook for retirement, it is a transition that is often fraught with surprises and predicaments. This course will include group discussions and experiential exercises to help participants examine the most pressing issues of retirement and discover the opportunities of retirement. The course will cover: successful aging, identity in retirement, discovery of dreams and life goals, finding meaning and purpose, and building relationships (family, friends, and community). Participants will ponder issues and develop a roadmap for enjoying their retirement, while accepting the inevitability of ambiguity and uncertainty as life unfolds.
