In this six-week course we will view each of the six PBS interviews by Bill Moyers of Joseph Campbell titled “The Power of Myth.” We will discuss a relevant Jungian concept reflected in each interview. The topics will cover (1) The Hero’s Adventure, (2) The Message of Myth, (3) The First Storytellers, (4) Sacrifice and Bliss, (5) Love and the Goddess, and (6) Masks of Eternity.

Marita Digney, DMin, is a certified Jungian analyst, licensed psychologist, and graduate of the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland. She is the founder of the C.G. Jung Society of West Jersey, which offered public programs in the Philadelphia area for 20 years. Marita is a frequent lecturer to Jungian audiences, both professional and public. She is a former director of training at the Philadelphia Jung Seminar, an affiliate of IRSJA. She was fortunate to attend a series of lectures given by Joseph Campbell at UCLA in the 1970s.
