The Science of Mindfulness

We will view and discuss The Science of Mindfulness: A Research-Based Path to Well-Being. This is one of The Great Courses series. The lecturer is Professor Ronald Siegel, a clinical psychologist at Harvard Medical School. He “reveals the science behind mindfulness in compelling detail and demonstrates its application to a wide range of issues–psychological, social and medical.” This is a continuation of the course taught during the fall of 2016. However, there is no prerequisite for this course, and you do not need to have taken the previous course in order to benefit from this one.

Instructor Bio:

Ms. Askounis was a psychotherapist dealing with marriage and family issues for 30 years. She holds a PhD in counseling from UVA. She previously taught English at both the secondary and college levels.
